Why Group Therapy is Useful
Group therapy, as the name implies, is a type of psychological therapy that is conducted with a collective of people, rather than between an individual and the mental health professional.
At its core, group therapy facilitates the realization that we are not alone — that there are others who have similar life stories, life struggles, internal processes. This first-time experience is often a revelation and a huge relief, to many who seek out the group modality of support.
